Agent Runtime Template

The agent-runtime template provisions containerized AI agent workloads deployed to Vertex AI Agent Runtime and Cloud Run.

Resources Provisioned​

  1. GitHub Repository:

    • Repository named uk-dvt-gcloud-<component_name>-agents.
    • Bootstrapped from the template factory repository uk-dvt-gcloud-git-template-factory-agent-runtime.
    • Pre-configured with GitHub Actions workflows for building agent container images and deploying Agent Runtime engines.

  2. GCP Projects:

    • artireg project (common): Shared Artifact Registry repository for container image storage.
    • aiplatform project (development, staging, production): Vertex AI Agent Runtime engine hosting and Cloud Run compute.
    • Workload Identity Federation IAM bindings for build and rollout service accounts.

Provisioning Instructions​

  1. Copy the desired template folder to components/<component_type>/<component_name>/.
  2. Configure config_component.tfvars with the component name, code, team access and other required inputs.
  3. Submit a pull request to uk-dvt-gcloud-core-projects for automated plan and apply.
