The agents-cli template provisions Google's Agents CLI / Agent Development Kit (ADK) agent components, enabling rapid deployment of conversational and task-oriented agent applications onto Google Cloud.

Resources Provisioned​

  1. GitHub Repository:

    • Repository named uk-dvt-gcloud-<component_name>-demos.
    • Bootstrapped from the Agents CLI template factory repository uk-dvt-gcloud-git-template-factory-agents-cli.
    • Pre-configured with GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows for OpenTofu and agent deployments.

  2. GCP Project(s):

    • Dedicated aiplatform project per environment (development, staging, production).
    • Vertex AI, Cloud Run, and Secret Manager APIs pre-enabled.
    • Workload Identity Federation IAM bindings for deployment service accounts.

Provisioning Instructions​

  1. Copy the desired template folder to components/<component_type>/<component_name>/.
  2. Configure config_component.tfvars with the component name, code, team access and other required inputs.
  3. Submit a pull request to uk-dvt-gcloud-core-projects for automated plan and apply.
